Adding Swap Global to a Manual Order

  • Updated

When creating a manual order, once you add the products and the customer info/shipping address, Shopify will determine shipping rate options the same way they would at the standard checkout. Adding Swap Global to an order manually created by the merchant requires no extra setup or steps.

While selecting a shipping option is mandatory when a customer completes checkout, it is not mandatory for a manual order to be created. If you wish to charge taxes and duties and have the order tracked by Swap Global, you must add a Swap Global shipping option to the order.

To view the available shipping options, click Add shipping or delivery.

Once the button is clicked, a pop-up will open that will display the shipping options the customer would see at checkout and an input to insert a custom rate.

If you use one of Swap’s rates, taxes & duties will be charged within the shipping line, and Swap Global will track the order.

⚠️ If you use a custom rate, Swap Global will not know the order exists and will not be tracked in our system.

Once a Swap Global shipping rate is selected, click Apply and continue placing your manual order.
